Eco-Luxe - Indulging your Soul
Going green in style
We’re quickly waking up to the reality that sustainability and social responsibility is an important part of how we live and how to protect the world we live in. This doesn’t mean forgetting style or beauty it just means we’re becoming more aware of what we want and where it’s been produced.
We’re looking for products and services that are environmentally healthy whilst being luxuriously comfortable and stylish. We want both and why not.
Beautifully made and ecologically friendly. New businesses get it. They understand what we’re all searching for, what’s on our wishlist, what we want to surround ourselves with, and big companies are catching up as they realise they won’t survive without changing the way they do business and listen to what we want.
There are some amazing labels and brands doing it the eco-luxe way - Stella McCartney is the obvious example of this. You just have to read her Mission Statement to know exactly what she stands for. And it’s not just fashion. Just type “Eco-Luxe Products” into Google and bam - there are ‘about 118,000 results (0.44 seconds)’.
Let’s face it, eco-luxe can be anything - from what you’re carrying your water around in, to your next holiday destination. Our homes filled with organic linen, handcrafted furniture, beautiful skin care. Our wardrobes bursting with beautiful clothes all eco-friendly, all ethically produced, all simply luxe.
So is this then, the modern definition of Luxury - environmentally healthy and luxuriously comfortable and stylish? Soon we’ll just drop the “eco” part of luxe. We won’t need it. Luxury will be by definition eco. I’m down with that.
